1958 was a bad year for the auto industry. The post-war economic party lead to a global hangover as raw material purchases drastically declined. The auto industry swan dived by 31%, leaving far less demand for gorgeous land yachts like this ’58 Cadillac coupe. Thankfully many of those cars are still around today, reminding us that car makers still create self-propelled beauty in the face of financial disaster.
