Daily Roddin’: The venerable Jeep YJ

An AMC Jeep

With the name being attached to Chrysler for so long, it’s surprising to see the fabled Jeep brand from a company who doesn’t spend as much time in bankruptcy court.  The original military version was designed and built by American Bantam, back in the late ’30s.  Since then, it has been produced by nearly everyone in the car business, including Ford, Willys-Overland, Chrysler, AM General, Mitsubishi, and American Motors (as seen in this photo).
