Everyone loves the stig. That’s why several people in Britain gladly handed their keys over to the man in white.
Or so they thought….
An Australian show, “The Chaser’s War On Everything,” sent The Stig and proceeded to “test drive” other people’s cars. Although most of the test drives were quick spins around the block (and the McDonald’s drive-through), one chap’s car was taken for a longer drive-much longer. The modified Austin Mini was taken on a sightseeing tour of Stonehenge. Unfortunately, Stonehenge was closed when they finally arrived, so they turned around and headed for Paris….
…Which is where the man in white took off his signature helmet to reveal his true identity. In this episode, The Stig is none other than, well, not the stig.
The original Mini’s owner seemed to go along with it, although he probably caught on after the fake Stig stopped for a pint and later argued (wordlessly) with a security guard. Everyone knows the real Stig would have preferred to eat the security guard’s soul instead of arguing.
