Lots of rods can be described as “sick,” but few go as far as the Blastolene Brothers.  From their first manic machine, the “Blastolene Special,” artists Michael Leeds & Randy Grub have been creating some of the largest and most insane machines out there.

Of course, it’s theoretically easy to just build big to stand out at car shows.  Practically anyone can pick up a ’70s Lincoln town car and take up three spots at your local cruise night without even trying.  The difference with these guys is that they start with awesome big stuff.  In their latest machination, “Pissed Off Pete,” they begin with an old V12 Detroit Diesel, spitting 500 horsepower to the rear wheels.  Add to that an Allison automatic transmission from a Greyhound bus and a chopped up rear axle out of an 18-wheeler, and you’ve got the start of a mean machine.

Thanks this week goes out to JayLenosGarage.com for showing us this amazing, ummm, “car.”  Not that Jay Leno or his team of trained experts ever reads this blog, but credit belongs where credit is due.  See you tomorrow for more “Daily Roddin!”

And if that’s not enough come on over to our Facebook page for more action and excitement!  We’ve got exclusive pictures from the Henry Ford’s Birthday show & shine, organized by the Manitoba Mustang & Ford Club. Click here to see the pics, add your own, and meet other gearheads from around the world!
