**STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT**
Sadly, we have another stolen vehicle to keep an eye out for. This time, it’s a two-tone ’83 Chevy Blazer from our friend Matt Self from Alberta.
It went missing last Friday, the 11th of June, before 2:30 pm. The perp left behind a lot of broken glass, chunks of the steering column, and a trail of oil leading to the main road, where it tapered off.
After asking around the neighborhood, Matt discovered that some creep in a white and red Chevy Curbmaster van had been ‘scoping out vehicles in the neighborhood. One neighbor had seen him looking in the windows of his own truck, but walked away and pretended to flyer someone’s house when approached. The guy then drove off after delivering a single flyer.
As you can see from the pictures, Matt’s truck was equipped with a well-built small block Chevy engine and a few other go-fast goodies. I’ll let Matt describe the modifications (aka, parts that some creep in a van might try to sell you):
-It had a very pitted old set of used 18 inch mags with new tires
-Lowered with spindles, blocks, springs
-It had a 69 small block 350 cast #3790010 with heads from that year
-Mickey Thompson aluminum valve covers that I painted black and hand pinstriped the fins and letters with One Shot fire red lettering enamel
-Engine was Chevy engine red
-Timing chain cover was black with orange chevrolet lettering
-Chrome oil pan
-Edlebrock EPS intake and 650 carb
-Rebuilt 700 r4 transmission
-Custom built radiator with a white skull painted on the front
-GM gear reduction starter
-Old rusty headman headers
-Air horns and air raid siren
-I refurbished an old aftermarket wood steering wheel stained it with a really light oak and cleared it
-The front fenders had STP stickers on the bottom behind the wheel well
-I painted the brake drums a bright blue (One Shot hot process blue)
-The dash face had a really worn and ugly cloth covering, looked grey but was a tiny black and white pattern
-3.7.3 posi diff
-Euro taillights
-91 chrome grill
-Trimless bumpers
Here’s the casting number on the engine block:
And the casting number on the heads:
If you have any information, or come across someone in a Curbmaster van trying to peddle parts that sound suspiciously like the ones listed above, leave a comment or contact us at sundaycruisefever-at-gmail-dot-com. We’ll pass it on to Matt, who will contact the proper authorities and get this scumbag behind bars.
