World of Wheels gallery #3
It’s Friday, and what better way to end the week than goofing off while you’re being paid to work. That’s right, it’s time for more pictures!
Keep going after the jump….
Willy’s Garage brought out the much-ballyhooed “Chickenmobile,” a resurrected promotional vehicle for the Chicken Delight restaurant chain.
This Impala SS didn’t look like much on the outside-nice rims and a few hints of chrome-but this bad ass mo’fo carried an LS3 v-8 engine under the hood, a 430-horse powerplant normally reserved for Corvettes.
The Winnipeg Shriners built this stunning Ford Model A coupe for an upcoming draw, to be held this summer. If you haven’t got your ticket, hunt down your local Shriner (or hunt down Alvin Allard at Jim Gauthier Chevrolet, 1400 McPhillips in Winnipeg) to get in on this beast of a car.
Although it was definitely one of the more clever displays, the resultant damage to the classic Mustang didn’t make this unnamed car club many friends over the weekend.
There’s not many Chevy Corvair pickups with a rampside box left in the world, but Piston Ring auto parts stores owns one. The number of classics and hot rods this company owns is actually kind of shocking, but it really goes to show the passion they have for this hobby. And if you work for Piston Ring, let me know if this is enough ass kissing to get your sponsorship.
The Gimli Car Club was just hangin’ out at their booth, after selling every last ticket for their annual raffle. This year’s prizes included a barbeque disguised as a small-block Chevy engine.
That’s it for today, but come on back soon to see what else we’ve got up our sleeve. There’s more pics of World of Wheels, and maybe even a few teaser pages from “Class of 2010.” And if that’s not enough, come check out the Facebook page for more photographs, or even to upload your own. Best of all, it’s free!
