World of Wheels gallery #4
Are you a serious Chevy fan? Umm, no. Unless you’re this guy, your love of the bowtie is just a teenage crush. But, if you’re here, it’s probably because you love pictures. The good news is, there’s lots of them after the jump.
This flamed orange Jeep Cherokee had one of the coolest owners at the show. Instead of chasing small children away from the vehicle all weekend, she fired up the Wii and the big screen TV in the back and let visitors play Guitar Hero all weekend long. This woman is officially Our Hero.
The “Manitoba Kid,” Dave Tiechrow’s 1947 Ford Business Coupe pulled off a hat trick this year, getting invited back into the show for the third time. The Brandon-based, Lincoln V12-powered hot rod seems to look a little bit better every year. Just don’t ask the owner when he’s going to “finish it.”
Terry Levair came out to represent his company, Investment Vehicle Restorations. If you want to meet an honest, sincere, down-to-earth guy who restores cars for a living, you need to meet Terry and his son Josh. The father & son duo have restored some amazing Mopars over the years, including Josh’s own 1970 Super Bee. You know, the one that took home “Best in Show” honours at last year’s World of Wheels show…
By the way, if you’re in Alberta and looking to have a car re-done, give the Levair family a shout (Click Here for their website). Although they specialize in Mopars, they’ll refurbish vehicles such as this 1947 Pontiac. And yes, it was originally a delivery vehicle for the Orange Crush Soda Co. in Winnipeg.
These homies like to keep it real….ly small. This is the work of the Winnipeg Model Car Club, who brought out their best work to show off at World of Wheels. You have to admire the attention to detail folks put into these wee rides-things that some owners wouldn’t do for full-size cars.
We’ll leave you today with a few shots of “Shadow,” the latest home run from the guys at Sandale Fabrication. They started with a 1965 Chevelle 2-door, and hit it out of the park with this gorgeous hunk o’ steel. Keep an eye on the news stands in the next few months if you want more pics of this wild ride.
Got pics of your own? Post’em on our Flickr group! It’s always open, and it’s free-just don’t upload pictures of your dorky friends, or your dorky friends trying to take nude pictures of their reflection while they’re naked. It’s not as complicated as it sounds, but it is considerably more emotionally disturbing.
