Pontiac built excitement in the ’80s and ’90s, but back in 1953, they built cheap knock offs of Chevrolet cars. Pontiac’s every goal was to be cheaper than Chevy, but with more chrome. And most of the time, they succeeded. That is, until Semon “Bunkie” Knudson stepped into the top spot at Pontiac. Knudsen, along with his bright-eyed protege John Delorean, decided that the Indian head brand would become the performance leader of General Motors, and the rest is history. Want to know more?
